Didn't anyone realise that the site itself says the deadline is by September 24th? >_> Unless it means 2005...

Same here. But I think the level of competition is a bit high for me. Have you seen the winning works?
It'd take a very long time for me to think of something as creative to hope to win anything... Though somehow I think they'd write "2005" on that page if they meant Sept. 24 2005... ;;

The contest was just announced, so I think you can rest assured that the deadline is not September 24th, 2004. -t |

Erm, this is just like a single-page illustration contest right? So it's not actually cartoon or manga or anything right?
Doesn't sound that interesting then...-_- Money is good, but the entries really don't look like they're worth that much... |

September 24 2005 is a Saturday. So yeah, this is probably an overdue competition. I would be surprised if they announced the competition almost one entire year before the competition itself...
How was the competition "just announced"? Was it on a news website or something... I personally wouldn't mind trying for it... It provides a good opportunity to consolidate one's opinions on a particular theme and find a nice pictorial way of conveying it... Really personally speaking I think the entries are sort of worth the money. They're actually very well thought out... I wonder what this had to do with anime really (maybe because it's a Japanese newspaper organizing it...?), but since apparently everyone likes to eat me whenever I ask that sort of question, forget about it. |
