hi people, i'm taking a media studies class on anime and we have to do a research paper on fandom. so, i'm looking into fanfic, fanart, amv, cosplay and role playing in shojo anime. could u guys help me out and answer some questions for me? as in depth as possible if you have time.... thanks!

1. What's your age, sex, and location?
2. Do you write fanfic, make fanart, produce amvs, cosplay and/or participate in role playing games in shojo anime? Which ones and how much?
3. When were u first introduced to anime/manga and how were u introduced?
4. how often do you watch anime (ie. an episode a day) and how do u watch it (ie sub, dub, japanese)?
5. do u own anime? if u do, in what form? (ie, cdr, dvd, video tapes) Do u own shojo manga and if so how many?
6. How do u feel about anime? How important is it in your life? What place does it hold in your life?
7. what is it about anime that you like so much?

thanks so much.....

This is so not the right way to go about writing a research paper. Go check out some of the papers and books that have been written about anime, and see if you can garner any general facts on fandom from there. Then go ask some fan in your local area and grab a few quotes from him to back up your points.

If you were planning on getting all of your research from an anime forum, then I can't say that your paper would have turned out very well.

Sorry, locked. If people want to PM you with answers, that's fine. But you might want to think about asking them some better, more indepth questions than the ones you have listed, especially if the focus of your paper is on certain activities done by fandom. Also, I'd advise narrowing your paper scope, as you'll have a much stronger paper that way.

{{{EDIT}}}

Anyone who wants to answer her questions, please PM SilverYume directly, thanks.
