I don't like it when there's a period in the title. I hated it back then with Your Name, and I still hate it now.

This project is going to succeed or fail on the choice of voice actress for Noa. The character is extremely clingy and needy. She will have to walk a very fine line between "endearing" and "insufferable."

Studio feel will make it look good, but honestly, the source material is more of a gag manga than a romcom. I'd expect variations of the same schtick repeating themselves over the course of the series.

For this show to be good, it's gotta have stellar VA work....

Be ready for a heroine who constantly cries and whines. I'm pretty sure she'll go on many viewers' nerves. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

I generally find this behavior tolerable in Japanese, but insufferable in English.

Not familiar with the manga, so just from the thumbnail I thought this was about a junior high school girl and not a professional woman. Shocked

This was way up my "wish it was an anime" list for awhile now. Glad we'll get to see it.

There's a short series of voiced comics featuring Machico on the Shueisha official Youtube channel, maybe she'll be used for the anime as well...she wasn't the first voice I imagined her with but I think she pulls it off really well. Yoshioka Mayu was also used in a Young Jump ad early on, but just didn't feel right for the character.

They work at like a gacha game company and she's the character designer, so she's more like an artist who is super into fashion than your standard office lady kind of career.
