Maybe, maybe not. After all, it's not the tots forking out the cash, it's their parents. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure taking advantage of parent's willingness to buy overpriced shit for their kids has been big business for multimedia companies and toy manufacturers at least as far back as Barbie and GI Joe.
