I just noticed something really weird going on here. A few days ago, a friend of mine purchased Code Geass R2 Par 1 vanilla edition, and this was the front artwork:

Just today, another buddy purchased the Limited Edition Part 1, it was the same cover on both the DVD and sleeve. However, when I purchased mine (LE), this was the cover that was on the DVD itself:

So, like, what's the deal? Did they just switch them around? Best Buy promo? Or something else?

That is the R2 cover art for Geass. Did you buy an R2 copy, or could it be a boot?

=___=; It's definitely not a bootlet...

I've just noticed that my DVD coverart is different from their lot - then again, I'm also the only one who bought it at Best Buy - they got theirs at FYE.

I think we are to ingore the text and focus on the image (I imagine he couldn't quickly find an R1 copy of that particular artwork.)

Anyway... my R2 LE vol. 1 had your first (group) artwork on the outer paper, but the second (Lelouch and C2) on the DVD.

Perhaps your friend got a LE copy with the wrong artwork by mistake? Honestly, I didn't even know there were 2 cover variants for this, so I'm at a loss...

Well, I just dug out my copy of Geass R2 bought from BB, and it has the same artwork on the cover minus the kanji on the cover. Does yours actually have the kanji or is it more in keeping with the US release style? Maybe it is an early pressing that got changed to the other style?
