Yeah, They might...but likely 4th stage is the last because in the making of 4th stage DVD. But there is the LIVE ACTION MOVIE!

The problem with an Initial D live action movie is the fact that you have so many "street racing" films out there already, and that's what it will be compared to.

Critics will probably take one look at the "exploits of a racer in a 1985 Toyota Trueno (aka Corrolla)" and probably scoff at it. Plus, the plot is interesting, but in terms of other racing movies, it's a "has-been" and "done-that".

(Don't get me wrong, though ... I like Initial D. It just that, with all the racing movies already out there, it'd be hard to get non-anime watchers who have never heard of Initial D before to see it.)

thats interesting. my problem is that here in the US they've only released up to the beginning of second stage on DVD. does anyone know how i can get the rest now or have they not been released in the states??

The rest have not been released in the states yet. It will be a while before the states get to the 4th stage of Initial D.

I agree that critics will probably scoff at a live action initial d movie, but compared to the fast and the furious, initial d takes the cake, easily.
