Next Hagio showed art from a sci-fi series called They Were Eleven (Zoku Juuichinin Iru!), about ten boys taking the exam to enter the space academy.

Does this mean it's been "rescued"?

It's short enough that it's a possibility. Maybe they'll also translate the sequel.

But they also showed pictured from ZnKgSS, which is probably pretty unsellable due to length and subject matter.

There's a sequel? Cool! I'm really excited that Fantagraphics has put out this collection. Here's hoping that They Were 11 will get the same treatment-- it's one of my favourite science fiction shorts.

You can at least read this interview with her by Shaenon Garrity that took place a couple of days ago at SDCC. It's interesting stuff.
