Just noticed TW NYC added [adult swim] on demand to the lineup (channel 1023).

The "Action" category might as well be named "Anime" since currently all anime shows Smile

Currently Airing:
Big O 23
Neon Genesis Evangelion 1 & 2
Ghost in the Shell: SAC 3
Inuyasha 2 & 3
Paranoia Agent 6
Samurai Champloo 9

Do you guys have this channel in your local market?

Nice to have this, I'm just hoping that they'll play the episodes in order.

Well as you can see i Live in MAryland. Anyway, I have had [Adult Swim] on CTN for years now.

-flashback to when it first aired-

So yea....it has been around a while. I don't know if you are talking about it being its own chneal, or if it is on CTN (Cartoon Netowrk).

Well, it was originally called Adult Swim Action when they started airing on Friday nights (I still have the original line-up memorized for some reason), figuring that "Action" would be less intimidating to the mainstream than "Anime" would, as well as the world' general impression of anime being about Pokemon and tentacle rape.

Also, if they decided to bring in American action cartoons, they'd be justified in putting on the "anime block" by calling it an "action block."

<sarcasm>And I know we've all seen them air American action cartoons like...um...Animatrix? >_> </sarcasm>

I'm not talking about the standard [adult swim] that airs Sunday-Thurs night on Cartoon Network.

[adult swim] on demand airs on digital cable and the on demand basically means you can choose what you want to watch when you want to watch it from your remote from whatever selection of shows they offer. They rotate the selections whenever the network wants to.

I've had [as] on demand in my area for more than a year now. It's gradually working its way across the country.

In fact, the "on demand" stuff is one of the main reasons I pay extra for digital cable.

On demand is a great service. I use it quite frequently actually. It's so useful for things.

Wow, I've never noticed it... I have Charter cable and most of the premium On-Demand services... I wonder what the chances are that I have it.

I live in Texas and we currently have [Adult Swim] on demand and we also have Anime Network OnDemand which is currently showing:

Fullmetal Panic
Fullmetal Panic Fumofu
Petie Princess Yucie
Noir
Madlax
D N Angel
Princess Tutu
Nadia
Cromartie High School
Azumanga Daioh
Dai-Gaurd
Area 88
Slayers
Slayers Next

We also had pretear but they ran the whole series twice and finally took it off.

Along with all of those anime series it also has a number of J-pop and rock music videos.

Have you been keeping up with the releases on the channel? How often do they rotate programming? Are the episodes played in order?

Yeah, 24/7 access, when you want to watch it, can pause/rewind/fastforward also. It's actually free if you have digital cable.

We actually do have Anime Network OnDemand with TWC NYC, don't have the exact lineup since out of town right now, but it was similar to what Akiru chan posted I believe. We don't have access to the entire series, only certain episodes though. (also free so can't complain)
