Hi! Smile I'm new and plan to post alot, but sadly my first post is an angered one... A few weeks ago I remember reading a rumour that Rurouni Kenshin on Cartoon Network wouldn't be shown every weekday anymore starting sometime in July. I ignored it 'cause it didn't seem reasonable...after spending the time to dub it, why not show it?

Well...that 'sometime' in July was today. I sat down at 6:30 expecting to see Ruruoni Kenshin but it wasn't on. Yu Yu Hakusho (sp?) was. Anime hyper No offense to its fans, I just wasn't expecting it and assumed CN took RK off permanently. But anyway..is Rurouni Kenshin not on Cartoon Network anymore, *at all*? Please say that's not true.. Sad

Cartoon Network, on that Toonami commercial of theirs, kept bragging every day... "And you know we like to save the best for last. Ruruoni Kenshin is last at 6:30" or something. Funny how they brag about it and suddenly they get rid of it. Well, Thanks to those in advance who clear this up for me.

I prefer dubbed anime over subtitled actually as long as it's done well (I don't mind if blood is edited), but I just wish one day that a reliable network would air it *sigh*

Actually, Kenshin has been dubbed for a few years in it's entirety, so it's not like CN went through anything to dub it. As for it's disappearance, I think they just need some time to figure out how they are going to edit the rest of the Kyoto arc, give them some time, I think it'll be back. And if not, about the only way to appease the angry fans would be to air an unedited version of Evangelion, so I see Kenshin coming back soon since the other option probably won't happen anytime soon in the Toonami block.

Kenshin will be airing on Saturdays at 9:30pm during the Super Saturday block for at least this Saturday (all CN has on the site currently).

I heard that Kenshin will make its appearance again on July 16th during Adult Swim, which is good news. The later time slot means less editing. Also I believe RK was bringing in an older audience than expected and CN would want to capitalize on that.

After all the gen Xers are the first generation to grow up with anime in the states, and don’t consider it childish to watch animation as adults. The new thirty-something’s are an under appreciated market, that CN seems to be courting.

It would take 1year 10 months and 3 week to show RK from start to finish. Im giving up and buying the box set of DVDs now that I have found a place that sells them in two sets.

I might be dead by then,

Where can you buy them in sets of two? I am about halfway through buying the series and decided I needed to buy some other titles too, so it will be slow going from here.

I also see nothing wrong with adults watching animated shows. I hope to see CN or any other station in my viewing area start to realize that and start programming more anime for us GenXers!

Well, the Kyoto arc is just about over so it wont take that many months to rap up. They'll probably go through another pause befor they start the last arc. Before the last arc they'll likely change the format again.

Just be thankful that they didn't start over on weekends.

You can get then at [EDIT - Bootleg URL removed -C] They are around $70.00 but much cheaper that buy then episodes three at a time.

I thought the Kyoto arc was the last one in the anime series.
