DBZ is dead, the creator doesn't want anymore and the anime company has given up and gone on.

Sure, there's a new DB anime...
and Bandai has announced Cowboy Bebop 2... and Takahata's remaking Grave of the Fireflies because he said it was too depressing the first time around. In short: Like was said before, it's not real. Toriyama has said he is tired of DB and does not want to continue writing it. Toei tried to continue without him and ended up with DBGT. After the dismal failure of that, they stopped making the series. It's not gonna happen unless someone throws a HUGE pile of money at Toriyama, and even then I'm not sure he'd accept. I doubt FUNimation would even provide the necessary cash, as they've grown beyond DB with their other series (Blue Gender, Fruits Basket, [One Piece?]) At any rate, since this is nothing more than random speculation, I'm locking the thread. |
