Hey everyone- Does anyone know where the Tachikomas' "death" song from the 2nd Gig finale comes from? Very haunting melody and lyrics, sounds like it could be a Japanese folk song, but I wouldn't put it past the geniuses behind GITS to come up with it themselves.

I was going to ask the same question, but at least hide the spoiler. Anyhow, has this particular track been released or is it still MIA with a bunch of the other SAC tracks?
Any help is appreciated. |

I haven't seen any of 2nd Gig, but I can partially answer. The only Stand Alone Complex OST still MIA (not counting the "Get 9" single) is the excellent OST III (VICL-61695). There are a number of tracks on it that fits your description and although I cannot provide any further assistance, you can legally hear low-quality preview versions of all the tracks here and here. I hope one of them is the song you're looking for.

Well, you know that they are going to "not exist" in the movie, so something has to happen to them... so It really isn't all that much of a spoiler... And yeah! ...((bump))... I was wondering this too, does anyone have the title of the song? and I think it is by Yoko Kanno, but I could be wrong... |
