Wow, shows how popular he still is. Arina Tanemura's auction only ended in 400,000 yen. Though arguably what Tanemura was auctioning was a lot of old work, it was still multiple signed pieces. Where as a single Zetman drawing pulls in over 3x as much.

That's a lotta money! Shocked If he auctioned off a sketchbook worth of similar art, he could raise a quarter of a million dollars in no time.

He's one of my favorite mangaka, I'd love to own that... but it's so expensive!

Good for the quake victims. Still holding out for:

1) Zetman anime.
2) U.S. release of the manga.

He continues to prove that he is the assmaster. Wow, those are some lovely buns.

*cough* I mean, he's very talented at drawing!

I love hearing stuff about the manga-ka doing what they can to help, and I love it even more when it's about one of my favorite manga authors. Katsura, how I love you so.

Hell, after this and the things Toriyama did to help out, that's TWO of my favorite authors. Do I know how to pick them or what? Now I just need Watsuki and my trifecta of win will be complete. Very Happy

I'm almost afraid that if we did get a Zetman anime, it'd be just an OVA. That's usually what his works get. I agree entirely though, we need both of those things to happen.

I love his works for the stories, but, erm...I'd be lying if I said he can't draw an amazing looking girl. Razz

If had drawn sold a sketch of Iori back when he was doing I''s he would have sold for a ton more considering how popular she was. Heck several authors still continue to copy the look of Iori they also still make doujins of her character lol.
