Is this just going to be one OVA or just thats all that has been said to release?

This is the ONLY thing you'll see of Last Order. It's a one shot deal and is intended as an extra feature. Of course, if Squenix wanted to make something else, that's their call. But as of now, what you see is what you get.

Yes, I'm sure they're regretting milking FF7 for all its worth when Square-Enix takes their weekly cruise through the Bahamas.

I was just saying how since that tech demo there are so many people that believe now that Square will try to make a remake of FFVII. But I honestly don't think that square wants to commit itself to the time required to making this game. Of course it would make a lot of money, but with all the new games that square is actively working on it's hard to see how they would find time for this game. Till next time, Delta Kiral |

You said one important word, money. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are plenty of people in every industry that truly love what they do and they only worry about money as just a means of support. However, and this is especially true of just pure "business men"(i.e., people that don't actually make any kind of product), everything is done for the money. First, I'd like a FF7 remake. Nope, I didn't think FF7 was all that good or amazing or anything like that, I'd just like the remake. If you ask me, my favorites are 6 followed by 10 but besides pretty much only 6, I don't think the series is that amazing. Anyway, I would like to see the game remade. And really, does it matter HOW many resources they spend on it? They'll sell millions of copies...millions x 50? Plus special editions, and new guidebooks, and new other stuff they can sell licensing/copyrights to or just make themselves. Naruto fillers, 50+ years of soap opera, ff7 stuff abounding all come down to money. Why take time to remake windows constantly? Because doing a couple of small updates until putting out an entirely new system makes a lot more money than putting out tons of small updates that slowly morph older windows programs into newer ones free of charge. |

I just don't see the Vaibility of an FF7 remake sure there will be quite a few people that will buy it and the rabid fans will but with the where all these fans that want the remake are located across the globe will the cost of the translations, production and distribution be worth it I just don't see it. Best to keep going in the Final Fantasy 7 world then go back. I don't think I've ever replayed an rpg except for the legend of Zelda for SNES.

What I wanna know is- is Last Order going to see a US release? (My understanding is it didn't come with Advent Children, like it did for the R2 release. Main reason I haven't bought AC yet.)

Just to clear something up. Square is remaking FF7. Square called it the "FFVII PS3 Tech Demo" but it was actually a sneak peek at the next-gen revival of the PS1 FF7. So just putting it out there that FF7 IS coming to Playstation 3.

No, I don't work at Square (I wish) but I read a monthly magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly and it told me in there. I'm pretty sure the info is legit but just incase just don't go splurting it out and such.

They've already stated that the ammount of resources it would take (three hundred people working solidly over five years) would be better spent making new Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts/Whatever games/stuff. The Tech Demo did show promise of it coming to PS3, but that's all it was, a tech demo. If it was being remade, they'd have said so. There'd be buzz and hype and all of that good stuff. |

Exactly Not only that most of the Square Enix is busy on the new Dragon Quest, and the new FFXIII and FFXIII Versus. Not only that there is a new FFVII game already coming out for PSP> A new game spent from Zack view where people learn Sephiroth's backstory. Till next time, Delta Kiral |
