Is 4kids going to ever release uncut one piece on dvd i read something that said they were any truth to it?

They said they were going to release it (as well as all their other anime) uncut on DVD. Iirc, that was before they released uncut DVDs of Shaman King and Yu-Gi-Oh, which didn't do that well in sales. I doubt they're going to release any more uncuts because of those two and I don't think they've said anything on it since then.

i have the fansubs on my pc but i dont want to have 200+ eps on my pc i think i'm just going to burn them on a dvd it will take awhile though.

I too wish that there was an uncut DVD. Because I couldn't stand 4kids editting One Piece too much anymore. I like One Piece and other Shonen Jump titles and I too wish that 4kids released an uncut One Piece DVD soon. But I sure am glad VIZ Media got Naruto and not 4kids.
 Because unlike 4kids, VIZ Media doesn't slaughter good cartoons with a deadly machete and then leave all of their severed organs on the ground. One Piece should've been licensed by that company, not 4kids.

Well if they put out uncut dvds, then they truely have to be uncut. If I'm not mistaken, didn't the Shaman King dvds still have altered names for characters and what not? I can't say for sure because I never paid any attention to that show. I remember hearing that from several people though, but if I'm wrong then void this post please.

Exactly, listen I feel bad for the One piece fans, it's not fair that 4Kids isn't even going to try an unedited dvds. That said I think 4kids made the right move from a economic standpoint. Now having the Naruto Uncut dvd being released is at least a start, if this product can generate some money there is a small chance that other shows (that never got an unedited dvd) could get a chance to be released. |

I guess all of us who love One Piece are going to Hell since 4kids won't make an uncensored DVD. But we still have are precious fansubs and mangas, right?

The uncut English dub retained the 4Kids names and cast, but the subtitled Japanese versions retained original names. Neither that or YGO! retained next ep. previews, but that's about it. One Piece was 'promised' under the guise that uncut properties would sell better than their edited counterparts. 4Kids did live up to their end of the bargin, but cancelled under poor sales. It could be argued that they sold badly because they were 3 episodes a disc, had bad subtitles, a lousy dub, and well.. no gaurantee they'd go past 6 episodes. If anything, it was like a release planned for failure simply to get people to shut up. As for an uncut release of One Piece, either you'll need to stick to fansubs, or purchase an R2 or R3 release (Japan and Taiwan). No english subtitles, but you still get the Japanese episodes. Word of advice though, get the R3s, as they're insanely cheaper and still legit. |

Don't forget us who know how to speak Japanese, therefore having access to Japanese DVD's. Always will be uncut. Only problem is regional compatability. |

Listen up, kid. Just about everyone who likes One Piece has seen the fansubs, and just about everyone is secretly (or not-so-secretly) proud of themselves for "having seen it the way it was meant to be" through illegal means. The number one etiquette rule regarding fansubs is that you are never supposed to brag about how you're such hot stuff because you download pirated cartoons, because frankly it doesn't make you sound too smart. |

Oh yes, he's such a deviant, considering that pretty much anybody who downloads anime either burns them to DVDR for backup/space concerns or re-encodes them to burn to DVD to watch on their TV. Let the mods chew him out if they want to. (Then again, I should be doing the same thing  )
And to the OP, the solution lies in external hard drives... |

how was i braging about them i said i had them that's not braging and about 95% of people hear also have fansubs for anime so it not that heard to get them.

You must not have gotten the memo. You're supposed to just BUY BUY BUY and keep your mouth shut. The glorious leaders at 4kids released it so you must buy it and not complain
