I'm not hugely into Laruku so I can't help very well, but I figured since no one had responded I'd say I've got their Ray album and it's pretty good  I think Tofu records have released their latest album, Smile, so that might be the easiest one to get hold of. You also might want to have a look at their singer Hyde's solo stuff, I for one like his latest album, Faith, a lot more than any of the L'arc~en~ciel stuff I've heard ^^;

Their lates album is "Awake", not "Smile" ;) which I have and which I would recommend, It's just...<3 I love every tracks in it and you should definitely try it! But it's pretty save to say yhat you can start at anything, but I would say "Awake" or "Ark".
Or you can also try their collections albums.
