I just watched the Oreimo OVAs and I think they went a little too far with the sexuality. Sure in the regular series, Kyosuke accidentally touches Kirino and his friend rants about "homos," but these incidents seemed more plausible and I thought they were funny because I could almost relate. I think Akagi's and Kuroneko's speeches to the club about "ass f*cking" and "self-gratifying masturbation material" were tasteless and more for shock value.
Also, does anyone feel sorry for Makanami? She clearly has a thing for Kyosuke, but he's so oblivious.

I loved them. Sena is one of my favorite characters because of how much of a fujoshi she is (getting caught imagining the male members of her club having yaoi sex was hilarious)
As for Manami, eh, she got friendzoned pretty hard, but she was kind of boring to me, outside the episode Kyosuke stays at her house and her grandparents try to hook them up (the way she acted about taking a bath together was adorable). She's probably my least favorite girl, though. Kanako and Ayase and Kirino and Sena and Kuroneko are my favorites (so.. everyone but her)

The speech was about what type of erotic game to create iirc. I don't see how such speeches were out of line given the debate topic. Now if you want to argue the topic they were debating, then that's fine. But don't just go after the speeches.
Poor Manami. Even people who pity her can't spell/remember her name.
The OVAs were the best part of Oreimo. All it took was the absence of one of the worst female leads ever conceived.
