There's nothing wrong with killing off all of your characters. Honestly I've felt like that's where this story is headed anyway, attempts failed, titans win.

Kill 'em all, I say.
Of course, they could all just die of old age in the last chapter.

Story has been 100% predictable for me so far, killing everyone was something I also predicted. Not sure what he could do that would surprise me

I really think it's better if he does the ending he planned so long. If he planned to kill every characters, so be it. It's his decision. He started it all, he also should finish it all.
If he's considering each fans' wish and hope, it'll end up pleasing no one. I hope he'd just stay on his route and plot, and not caring about what the fans want or how much the money they're making. AoT is quite a cashbag, so I hope he doesn't exploit the medias just to squeeze the money out the fans.

Betray us? It's too late. He's already done that before. So might as well kill them all too if that's what he was planning lol.

I haven't been keeping up with scanlations, but a rhetorical question that could lead to future material is "what is beyond Wall Maria?"
(I will call shenigans if the reveal is that the series is taking place in Japan with a predominantly European themed cast, and yet this would not be the first time an anime had a quasi European aesthetic society is taking place in regional Japan)

I read that as "the Author will have Levi's hair cut" which probably would piss off all the fangirls even more than having him killed off.

If you waffle on your convictions you betray your fans more.
Kill'em all.
'Everybody dies' doesn't mean a story has to end on a hopeless note either.
EDIT: Frankly I was kind of pissed when Erin didn't die the first time. Like it was a cop out. Granted it lead to intriguing things. But at the time I felt emotionally betrayed.

These are the decisions authors make; that's their burden. Things can change for better. Things can change for worse. New characters = new outcome?
Points if the "original" planned ending kills them all just before figuring out the basement mystery.
