I hope she finds some effective treatment for her depression.

And apropos of nothing - damn, she's cute.

It's too bad, she was pretty good as Kumi. I hope she'll be fine in the future.

For a moment there, I thought it was Saori Hayami retiring, thanks Heaven it wasn't. I never tried any of Hayashi's work but it's still pretty sad that she leaves so soon.

A young woman of such obvious talent and beauty should not suffer from depression. Here is a wish for her to get the help she needs so she can enjoy life to it's fullest.

Because, you know, only ugly, talentless people suffer from mental illness.

I don't think that's what the person is implying.

If you reached a dream, and enjoy it passionately, you should live life fullest.

As for this news: Seriously?!?!?! Embarassed

Very upsetting stuff. I hope she can get the help she needs, and maybe, return to voice acting at some point. She's definitely a talent. Depression is an incredibly difficult thing to cope with and try to overcome, and I wish her well.

I may have missed my guess, but I don't think dreams cure suicidal depression or acute paranoia.

She was Kumi in Hajime no Ippo Rising?

Umm... damn.

Kumi barely appeared in Rising at all lol. I swear she was in like 1 episode and that was about it.

This also applies to any entertainment talent: Even if the post seems forced, she needs help. If you recall some of the fan stalking/threats that have appeared on ANN news articles the past few months, I can see why a talent might feel unhappy.

Yeah I read that at first too and for a split second was pretty much crest fallen as she's my favorite female seiyuu. In any case it isn't, but Japan clearly has some demons to deal with, hoping this won't become a trend.

Oh boy, this isn't reassuring at all. I hope someone in her life (maybe a friend associated with her agency, ideally her PARENTS) will be considerate enough to keep a close eye on her and she should get serious help. Nobody wants to see her end up like Daisuke Gouri or any other great Japanese talent who took his/her own life.
