At NDK I picked up the first four volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist. Well, I was watching episode 13, "Fullmetal vs Flame" and when Roy sends soldiers flying into the air while attacking Ed, a soldier flys right in front of the camera, giving you a good view of his face....
And he looks A LOT like the director of the series, Seiji Mizushima. I recongized him because he was at the con. I searched around but as far as I can tell no one has noticed this yet. Did I just find a cameo? |

It could be. I checked the notes in the Story Side book and found no mention. Mizujima's interview also doesn't mention a cameo, but does have a few good pictures of him. The Material Side book only had the design works for Hayate and Ishval refuges. I just realized something as well. Doesn't the dub call the country Ishbal? The kana has a distinct u" symbol which denotes the V sound much like the Vuma listed in the ending credits of the original Bublegum Crisis. Also why is King Bradley called Furher Bradley in the dub?

I'm not sure why they changed it to "Ishbal", but I do know that in the dub, Bradley's full name is "Furher King Bradley". "King" is his first name, "Furher" is the name they chose for his title--I think sometimes it's translated as "President Bradley".
