And this is why I am not watching those shows, even though I was realllly looking forward to watching PoT.

Indeed, it's a shame, those first few episodes before they get caught in the "10 episodes a tournament round => 5 training episodes => 10 episodes a tournament round => 5 trai...." monotonous track are some of the best episodes in the entire show. There's a few good matches to be sure, and even a few awesome ones, but a large portion of the show was downhill from there if you asked me.

Lol, well I actually started watching it, regardless, since I have heard so much about it. However, with no introduction to most of the characters, I found it hard to be interested in them or to know why I might care about their matches. So, I just put it back on my to-see list and forgot about Toonami. There are too many other places to see it to risk ruining a whole series for myself. Very Happy

good call bluepita.
Always tough to come in midstream, although I remember doing that for My-Hime and it wasn't too bad.

But you're better off saving yourself the hassle of asking, "Who is that and why did he do that?" 1000 times, and catching a series from the onset.
Just make sure to give it time to unfold, as some can be quite impatient with their shows...

Smile

So now it's official then. They were just trying to catch up to the jetstream episodes. I have no idea why Toonami thinks this will help their ratings. If anything, it will destroy them. Guess it's DVD purchasing time for me!
