When Miku-bot is all finished, there will be a huge crowd waiting for her to sing a good round of World Is Mine. Smile

Edit: Oh yes, 1400 posts!

I think we all need to get together as a species & help the Japanese see that, in fact, there's better ways to deal with loneliness.

I can't wait for the 18+ version of Miku robot to be built for the fan's pleasure, providing the current one being built turns out great Twisted Evil.

Following Sportsball is clearly superior than Building Robots.

I will follow them to their desu apocalypse by the cold silicone hands of their new idols. Just wait for a Robotic Mikudayo set loose on the world.

I'm not sure if I should be amazed at the dedication or creeped out at his obsession. I'm leaning towards the former.

Still, what would be even better would be having an AI in there that could learn. If that happened, and it wasn't Miku, the scientific community would probably be happy.

I'm just happy with the hologram concerts for now. This look like just a prototype of a prototype in its earliest stage. It would take more time and money to make it truly impressive. Its a cool, gadget-wise, that looks nothing more then a hobby.

Watch out for patents.

Google aims to patent child toy that pays attention

  • The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office shared diagrams depicting what resembled rabbit and bear toys with microphones in their ears, cameras in their eyes, speakers in their mouths and motors in their necks.

“The anthropomorphic device may be a doll or a toy that resembles a human, an animal, a mythical creature or an inanimate object,” the published patent said.

The toys could also be imbued with face and voice recognition, making the devices able to recognize who they were “looking at,” paperwork showed.

The Google patent listed Richard Wayne DeVaul and Daniel Aminzade as inventors. The application for the patent was filed in February of 2012.
