I hope it's okay to ask this here....

Is this the link to the manga....

http://www.amazon.co.jp/バイリンガル版-SHERLOCK-ピンク色の研究-Jay/dp/4046011181/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434060572&sr=8-2&keywords=sherlock

And to double-check that I read the article right (I'm giddy with excitement), if I order it, the entire thing is in English with Japanese notes on the side?

Thanks!

I believe it's fine to ask about legal shopping pages, especially if they're related to the product.
It looks like the page you have is the product being described in the article. It even has a description saying it's the English-Japanese version below the product stats.

Sherlock's copyright on the 10 of the 60 Doyle stories is set to expire in '22. However, he will be truly public domain when he no longer is trade-marked. By '22, the Doyle estate will have had Sherlock copyrighted for 135 freaking years.

Well done to the artist, amazing depiction of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

That typeset makes me cringe, though. Left alignment? Incorrect vertical positioning? Even the majority of scanlation groups can do better.

The literal translation of Cumberbatch into manga format is so visually realistic; it is a little unsettling, but in a good way. I will definitely check this out.

Oh wow! Very Happy Wish I knew these were coming. I picked up both volumes at the store just cause they were the Sherlock adaptations - the staff even cut open the shrink-wrap so I could check the interior and see if it was what I was expecting.

Sherlock's smirk is quite charming/amusing in manga form. Smile

Next on the list - learn to read Japanese text Embarassed

Kadmos: I'm not a lawyer, but the real issue here is that, if someone wanted to pick up the manga, they'd probably have to pay the actors for the use of their likenesses. That, and the company which owns that particular take on the stories.
