And I still wait for the day that a third season of Lost Canvas might someday be animated. Sad

The manga ended like 4 years ago, so it's highly doubtful.

Meh, I never liked TLC. I'd rather they animated Next Dimension, but that's still too short.

Sadly, it will never happen. TMS admitted that the second season sold poorly compared to the first, and it's essentially marketing suicide to go up against Toei's Saint Seiya productions in any way. The only time two Kurumada-related anime ever saw release at the roughly same time was in 2011 when LC Season 2 came out while Ring ni Kakero 1 Season 4's was airing on Animax; LC's release ended just days before RnK's DVD started coming out.

Sadly, that's probably also why we likely won't be seeing anything else from Kurumada get animated anymore, as Toei has admitted that they want to keep making Saint Seiya productions. To challenge that in any way, even from within Toei, would be tantamount to walking in front of a firing squad.

I don't think Kurumada will *let* Toei ever adapt anything of his again. That fight between him and the production team for the Tenkai-hen movie was pretty bad. I wouldn't be surprised if he has refused to license Next Dimension to Toei. It explains why Toei is riding the "original anime" train so hard. Only way to keep the toys selling.
