This is an odd case, person 49851 (Keiko MARI).

Apparently some kook/troll has been falsely inserting her name into all kinds of anime on imdb.com and it's spilled over here. Either that, or it's the same guy doing the same vandalism here.

As far as I know, she's never done any anime work. At all. Just a Godzilla Movie. (And she's not the same person as Gara TAKASHIMA like the troll says, either.)

Most of the data was entered back in 2005, by one person.

For some reason I couldn't remember, I came across the entry in 2008 and corrected the incorrectly entered kanji name; didn't think much about the correctness of other parts of the page back then.

However, after looking into this issue now I can say: those anime credits, all submitted by the same user in 2005, were essentially garbage, and that "Gara Takatori" pseudonym / stage name probably doesn't exist in the first place. If you ask me, I'd say this user coined the name from Gara Takashima and Yuri Shiratori, judged with his submission records. Worse yet, all sources were either nonexistent or root index page of large databases e.g. Wikipedia or IMDb.

I've send a PM to him requesting an explanation, despite that he has not been active for two years. His submissions have 48 hours before heading for trash can.

Reminds me that infamous Doonys hoax. And it's not dead yet; MyAnimeList almost took the bait last year. Mad

P.S. While Keiko Mari has no known voice role for anime, she had performed a rearranged song for Ribbon no Kishi (Princess Knight). The song is track #19 of a 2003 CD TOCT-10937, which is still available in some Japanese online stores and auction sites.

Yeah, I saw that, but it was never actually used in the anime, was it?

I've also sent a correction to imdb; hopefully they accept it.
