This is quite the surprise. Amazon added all the Shin-chan movies earlier this year, but I would've never expected them to produce an original series of it.
The director has previously worked with Masaaki Yuasa quite extensively and even Satoshi Kon, so I'm looking forward to see how he will handle this new series

It's great that Amazon is streaming this spinoff in multiple countries, but I really do wish that they could've also streamed the original series in multiple countries as well. Hopefully, if this spinoff gets a good amount of viewership internationally, Amazon and TV Asahi might consider streaming the original series in multiple countries.

Germany?? Normally we're excluded from such things, so good to hear! I hope they will stream the original show as well!
