I didn't expect the Saniwa to be shown at all, much less being a main character. And it looks like they're a guy too, although the VA is a woman so let's wait and see.

It's a guy, Junko is known to voice shota characters and the design speaks for itself. I think this is for the best instead of having a girl that can turn into cheesy romance that will only anger the fans. I'm seriously wondering how they're gonna do an all male cast though, I'm sure there will be females in the Kyoto residence and historical figures but damn, it's a sausage fest. Best situation for all the fangirls. Also, this Saniwa is rumored to fight along with the Toudan so we know for sure we're gonna get some real action with the Retrogade aemy, I can't wait.
