Considering he's struggling with katakuri this doesn't look good for them tbh.Even when he does get the obvious upcoming powerup i don't think he'll be ready if its kaido.

I wonder if the Wano arc will concentrate on just the Straw Hats who are ont heir way there, or if they will reunite with the rest. Because it seems like Oda wanted to split them up so each character could get more screen time.Something that has been difficult since Franky and Brook joined.

I mean, he's fighting one of the four emperors now. I suspect Big Mom is somewhat weaker than the others, but probably not by enough to make this look "cute" in comparison.

It has to be Blackbeard and his crew because if it would the epic battle between Luffy vs. Blackbeard that every One Piece fan has been waiting for! Very Happy

I doubt it has anything to do with Blackbeard, I wouldn't exactly call him a legend by any means. For that matter I wouldn't describe any of the Emperors as "lurking". Let's not forget that Whitebeard's "son" is lurking around out there and judging by the age of his mother he might be rather old himself. We don't really know anything about the guy, but that doesn't mean he isn't known of. Plus we know he's going after the other Whitebeard pirates.

But I feel like he's describing two different things here. The big war is probably between Blackbeard and the Revolutionaries. With Sabo's involvement that also ticks off the "related to Ace" box.

If the Wano arc isn't for another 1 or 2 years then that war probably will only include the half of the Straw Hats currently with Luffy.

I also have to wonder if the war and the "lurking legend" has anything to do with the Celestial Dragons and the Reverie. I just feel like something bad is going to happen there.

The lurking legend is obviously Shiki the Golden Lion. He is probably the shogun of Wano and in cohoots with Kaido. The movie is not cannon, but Chapter 0 is.

The progression is gonna be Doflamingo > Shiki > Kaido.
