It's pretty interesting on a meta level that the seven mortal sins are going to be voiced by Dallas actors and the seven heavenly virtues are going to be voiced by Houston actors. Gotta keep that "rivalry" going lol.

It's too bad this is only going to have 5 minute episodes though.

So Funi and Crunchyroll will release the 1st series and Sentai will release the 2nd......hmm makes total sense. Laughing

Plus 5 mins eps is a real bummer.

I thought for sure CR would get this since it's a 5 minute short and it's related to the 1st series :/

Still no anime strike exclusive.

I assume seven mortal sins didn't do that good for FUNi and Cr, hence why sentai got this.

Odd the Funi/CR didn't get this since it's part of a universe they already did a simuldub for like less than six months ago.

I don't like that "select digital outlets" statement. Come on, Sentai, we were just dishing out praise that nothing had gone to Anime Strike yet.

I think that's license-speak for "We haven't found anyone that wants to stream it yet."

Wasn’t it revealed that this show would stream the uncensored version on Amazon Prime internationally anyways?

No. In Japan it's only airing on AT-X and streaming on HobbyJapan's Youtube.

You're thinking of Killing Bites.

5 minute episodes are better for trash like this. Just get right to the point: BOOBS, because nobody cares about the story here

Seven Mortal Sins at full-length episodes was boring as hell

They probably didn't pick it up because the first series didn't do as well as they would have liked. It obviously can't be because of the episode length, Funi licensed AND dubbed Bikini Warriors which wasn't much longer.

There might be something to that. Funimation simuldubbed the shorts for Show By Rock, so I don't think the length would be an issue. If anything, shorts might have a certain appeal since shorts mean less recording time and less costs. I could see where it might not have been worth it based on the streaming for the first series. Honestly, I was surprised to hear that this show was being made since I didn't get the impression that Seven Mortal Sins did well. Since Hobby Japan decided to follow up with shorts, instead of a regular season, it makes me think it probably did "ok, not great" for them.

Overall, though, I am disappointed with this announcement. So far, Funimation has only announced one sequel for January that I was looking forward to with Dagashi Kashi, and now Sentai has one of the others, so I'm not counting on dub continuity, or necessarily any dub at all. Hopefully, Funimation gets Overlord 2 and Saiki K. 2
