from this news, its seems more and more that kishimoto wants the arc for the TV series to have a separate relation to the movie and manga, but definitely NOT BY MUCH! especially with the introduction of urashiki who wasn't around during both of those versions.

I’m incredibly excited about this arc. While I’m not absolutely opposed to the content they’re showing now, I can’t wait for the movie to be adapted since I really enjoyed it.

Nice casting. I'm not even surprised that it took a year of "original story" (and some manga content) to finally get to this arc. Now the question is how long will this arc take.
