And hey, it’s better than the abomination that is the Injustice arcade game.

Severely toned-down fanservice, playing their fans like fools Hibike Euphonium style, lack of gameplay mechanics like tag team mode, and questionable DLC tactics. This game is pretty much Dead on Arrival 6, hands down. They should have made Ninja Gaiden 4 instead if they want to be taken seriously. Even Monster Hunter World has more fanservice than this. No amount of backpedalling damage control will save them and this game.

Like how they played fans by insisting 5 was going to be a more serious game that could stand aside stuff like Street Fighter and Tekken then revealing it still had the fanservice elements that was always divisive?

Correct me if I'm wrong but DOA was never really centered on tag team mechanics was it?

3 and Yaiba were not held in the best regards so you might want to reassess that argument.
