I did not know that Black Clover was that popular

Good to see that Citrus is popular in Asia. I loved that show

Why black clover.

Shoutout to that one country in Oceania where i7 is most popular!

Also thanks for posting this article here. I currently can't access CR's website, so this is really helpful

This is a really easy way to tell which regions Crunchyroll has MHA rights to.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, but does the map actually show that Citrus is most popular in North Korea? Shocked

With the exception of the Balkans, I notice that the former Eastern Bloc had a quite zeal for the Franxx. In fact, such a show's main international appeal appears to centralise there.

This is really fun to see. Interesting to see something as random as Death March made it on the list in America, how Black Clover is doing much better in overall than I realized, how little DB Super ranks up there. And who would have thought Hanebado would rank in Africa?

Boruto and Black Clover surprise me. Not even in regards to quality, just I don't see much discussion about either one really.

Guess it depends on who or what you’re following. I see chatter about both all of the time. And both are rather “wildcard” series if you will, so many people generate discussion just to see chaos reign.

But, I am glad to see that BC and Boruto are both doing well. The streaming world is huge in many realms of entertainment, so I’d be very pleased as a studio to end up anywhere in the top 5.

I guess all this really proves though is that Shonen Jump still rules the anime world.

Only country that I can see in Asia where Citrus was the most watched series is North Korea, which raises some questions.

North Korea gets Crunchyroll? And doesn't censor it?

...They are really burying the lede here: WHO HAS UNCENSORED INTERNET in NORTH KOREA?!

I live in South East Asia and i can tell you, the reason boruto is so popular is because it's actually available here, Crunchyroll is really bare-boned here that at max only 3-4 simulcasts air here, for eg. this season only Radiant, that jeanne de Arc show and Senran Kagura is available to stream. I'm pretty sure if shows like MHA and BC actually made to Crunchyroll here, they would probably be more viewed than Boruto.

I kinda suspect it might be someone VPN-spoofing their location to North Korea, or something like that. Especially since the most-watched is Citrus, of all things. Without knowing the exact numbers of users and views, it's hard to tell.

As Aizen1011 above pointed, regional availabilities, and unavailabilities, make these statistics a bit misleading if viewed straight...
