We're not even sure if CR will even stream any of those shows obtained by Sentai Filmworks. But given that CR and HIDIVE is bundled on VRV, then maybe there's no reason for CR to outbid Sentai for cheaper licenses like this one.

Pretty much what I’m guessing. After the disaster that was Hand Shakers, CR might’ve been ok with Sentai taking this one on.

I also agree with the notion that the VRV deal changes how the partnership may work from here. And given that this is the final season for the Funimation & Crunchyroll deal, we may not see the old partnership start up fully until Spring.
