... That seems a bit stupid to me. Unless the printed version in Japan isn't selling very well, but digital sales are?
I hope for the English release - if we get one eventually, although I thought that maybe it was set to be released in English at some point? - won't go this route. I'd want to own this all on physical, not half-and-half or entirely digital. |

Manga does extremely well digitally in Japan, but it was seem weird to not get physical volumes. The sales may not be so hot. Here in America books and comics are the one area digital hasn't had much of a foothold in. Despite all the hype with e-readers the past decade digital only makes up 7-10% of the market every year.. both regular books and comics and graphic novels. Americans refuse to give up print, as opposed to other areas where digital has a much larger market share like music, movies, video games, and streaming in general. |
