For a single person's work, the quality is great, taking into account it's not a professional.
Still, to compare this with the JC Staff's rendition of the series... is pushing it quite a bit.
Though the "drawing" quality is quite good, the shots's composition is relatively bad, same goes with the quality of the animation itself, it's quite wonky throughout the short safe for certain scenes, and in some others it's just outright bad.
It doesn't even come close to JC Staff's depiction of Tsukihime, and they shouldn't be compared, a whole team's efforts shouldn't be downplayed by comparing it to an amateur's work.
Then again, it's a single person's work (as far as we know anyway).

I mean, if the product is better (not talking about this case) then yeah, it should be compared.
