Ahhhh, this bit of news brings a smile to my face. At this point I don't mind what shape or form this project takes, and I'm probably just overthinking it that it's a bit worrying that they're announcing just these two at the moment, it's great that they're still trying to have the original cast back for another round, again.

I wasn't really expecting any recasting, but still nice to see.
Although if this gets licensed I'm expecting we'll end up with an entirely new English cast.

That does bring up who would get it, I'm not so sure about FUNi because it would open a can of worms over what happened with the original and as for Sentai, there's no guarantee that this will have the same Japanese licensor or a dub for that matter.

This is a case where I wouldn't mind a new dub cast for Higurashi because that old Sentai dub was very oof.

^That wasn't Sentai, Geneon had the show first and had it dubbed at Bang Zoom.

I agree, I hope they get the Casey and Friends VAs, best dub work ever done for the series.
