By the way, here were the trailers for the aformentioned games in the article - released to the Official Muv Luv YouTube channel (both subtitled in English by the way):

Muv Luv Unlimited: The Day After Promo Video (English):

Muv-Luv photonmelodies Promo Video(English):

The producers on the stream also mentioned spamming/sending messages to the official twitter on which of their properties you'd like to see get localized/focused on next (so if you wanna see the Muv Luv Alternative Total Eclipse game next, you should totally ask for it)

Weird way to spell Kimi ga Nozomu Eien / Rumbling Hearts, but OK.

I thought one of the most interesting things in the stream was in response to a question about “are you not going to do visual novels anymore”, given that Project Mikhail and Project Immortal are both mech action (although the first is apparently an MMO with a VN-like story that branches on the aggregate decisions of players). The answer was basically that they want to keep up with the times and the kinds of things people are into now, which kind of sounded like “yeah, we are moving away from visual novels”. Maybe that’s inevitable in a franchise that lasts for decades — the latest iterations of Sakura Wars and Final Fantasy have left their turn-based origins in the dust, after all — but also kind of a noteworthy repudiation of the visual novel format from one of its iconic brands, in a year when Aniplex is opening a whole new division for visual novels.

Update: âge has announced they're going to do another Q&A with questions from international fans. They say they'll answer the questions Friday (July 10) on their weekly livestream for Japanese fans, then post a subtitled video sometime the week after. Fans can submit questions through a Google form here.
