I'm mixed on this.
I would have preferred a 12 episode anime, given how immensely character driven the story is. And I can't help but the film will cut out a lot of content due to time restrictions. This manga gets VERY dark. With some very unsettling imagery and implications made from the beginning of the story to the end. And I pray the more graphic content doesn't get removed because it really elevates the manga by establishing how realistically tragic life can be for the characters in the story. Either way, I love the manga, and I'm glad it's getting adapted. I just hope they don't fudge it up. |
