I feel like MHA has been moving a bit too quickly since the Liberation War arc so it's not surprising that it's rocketing towards an ending. Good for Horikoshi though, I'm happy with the new trend of letting mangaka actually end their long running series nowadays. Here's hoping he sticks the landing and is able to take a break after.

I've only seen the film's associated with the series and an reading the spin-off as I preferred the art but yeah, good to let the author of the main series finish it how he wants to. Their next series might be equally as good if not better (unless he retires from creating manga like Atsushi Okubo announced he would after Fire Force ends).

Going by how things tend to happen in Jump, IMO it'll actually end in a year and a half. Even so, I agree with how solid this 'last arc' is going. Looks like Sensei already has all things planned out.
I don't think there's gonna be an extensive final battle like the one Naruto had. But I can imagine if it'll later get its own post-serialization novels. |

I'm really into this series right now and am kinda in despair that it's ending so soon. I feel like there is still a lot of story to tell and don't know how he can cram it into just another 50 or so chapters. I'm hoping he's off and he has to continue it for another year.
At the same time I'm glad this series isn't being dragged out for 70 volumes and way past it's story potential like some other long running shonen series. |

The manga has been running for 7-something years so that it quite a good run for a manga. Whether or not that goal is met by Dec. 2022 is another story.

Sounds about right, based on the current arc. One year seems a bit ambitious, though. Is there even that much story left to tell?

Thanks god it's ending. It really lost its appeal especially when you compare its popularity with Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen. This final arc had the worst excuses of drama where they introduce a new guy spoiler[just to kill them in the next chapter],
