I think the funniest thing for me about these light novels is the names they give the main characters. Like, maybe Kelvin sounds kinda cool and foreign to Japanese readers but for me, I see a main character named Kelvin and want to shove him in a locker or something, you know? Even if it's not a very common first name it feels so basic.
Like if you watched a serious fantasy anime but the main character's names were Larry and Jim. Anyway this looks generic to me but the comment section seems favorable so maybe there's more to it. |

Later on in the series he is given the last name Celsius, so his name is a deliberate play on temperature scales. Perhaps his middle name is Fahrenheit. |
