Well, this sounds awesome. Still waiting for the Sawyer the killer manga to be translated though. Black Lagoon is still awesome

Honestly, with all the anime getting Hollywood Adaptions, Black Lagoon genuinely feels like one that would actually work. Off topic, but I wanted to say it.

It's still wishful thinking of me that we will ever get a season 3.... I love this series so much.

Enough spinoff & one-shots and we might get at least another OVA or group of OVAs.

My feelings exactly. Not to mention finish the core manga and focus on that, not spin off material. Especially spin off material of one of the lesser side characters. I could easily see early days/origin material for Balalaika, Roberta, Dutch, Chang, or Revy herself. Hell, even Shenhua would be as interesting or maybe more so.

I don't think we want a "finish" to the core story. I can't imagine one that ends well. If all is going well with the core group, life goes on. They are settling down after a story arc, the phone rings and all hell breaks loose. With the possible exception of Dutch (and his investments) these people are not going to retire. The idea of a "finish" brings to mind the closing credits of the first season.

I agree that the early days for many of the main characters would be interesting. I should mention that Dutch should be my age, give or take a couple of years.

Can we please finish the main story before making any more spinoffs? Good grief.

Honestly, after Miura, I hope the author stays safe and doesn't rush him. He has admitted the reason the manga has taken so long is his own mental issues, particularly anxiety and depression. The difference is, Berserk had an absolute ending people wanted. BL on the other hand is a bunch of separate episodes. I am not sure what an "ending" to black lagoon would even be. I would like more, but I hope the author takes his time and doesn't put himself or those he works with in jeopardy.
