11 kilograms?! They really decided to make it thick then, since I wouldn't expect a helmet to weight that much unless there's a maille aventail (chainmail that's attached at the bottom of the helmet to cover the neck gap). Maybe, the horn is solid instead of hollow? That would add a bit of weight that wouldn't normally be there. I'm honestly kinda thinking that making it out of hammered sheets would have been a lighter option, albeit harder to mass-produce. (Although it doesn't seem like that's necessarily what they're going for.)

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the weight. Somebody will probably try it, and then somehow also be surprised that they hurt their neck in the process.
