Still sad Viz/MangaPlus aren’t simulpubbing. Guess we’ll get it in English in 2033!

The power of a long-running anime and memes. The manga was thankfully driven out of Jump when Part 6 and early Part 7 bombed but quickly became the poster boy of Ultra Jump. A shame that he had to publish part 6 in WSJ. The limitations of the magazine could really be felt there. Even moving him to Monthly Jump (now SQ) like Bastard did before going Seinen would have helped.
Who knows why the later parts couldn´t have started out with digital licenses when Part 4 or so got an anime. It was pretty clear by then the original timeline would have been allowed to finish so that´s years of IP ads for free. Part 7 works as jumping on point just fine. 3 scanlation groups released chapter 1 of Part 9 within a day and it´s a social media darling! Money and page views are being left on the table.
Part 8´s start also lead to a reprint (the first part I began on release!) and the other 2 times were for the 100 volume of JoJo towards the end of Part 7 and the 25th anniversary in 2012 that had a booklet inserted into UJ.
