Not particularly torn up about this since they just kept adding more and more characters, and not doing enough to shake up the gameplay (like just making 6 member parties the norm). My only concern is whether or not the story will have a satisfying conclusion, and if that conclusion will be translated since when I was actively playing the game Global was pretty far behind the Japanese version.

This should be another reminder for the pile that Square has a pretty brutal track record with its live service games. Go look up a list of all of them. Be absolutely 100% aware that if you give them your money and time you are throwing both into a dumpster. They operate these things like smash-and-grabs and then they throw up a new one. If you have any interest in Ever Crisis coming to PC in a week, enjoy your time with it if you plan to, but DO NOT expect that it will be available forever. Its content pacing/availability is already sketchy, and if it manages to run uninterrupted for over a year it will be an infernal miracle given the sorts of business practises that have preceded this game.
