It's nice to not only see the authors' face (did not expect her to be such a looker!) and getting into her headspace for how she constructed the story. I can see how she put a lot of herself into writing Alicia and how she embodies the authors' ideals as a Heroine and woman. And it's bold to have your Heroine not only lose an eye but cut her hair, and that's what the author is most proud of.

I know a lot of people disliked Liz but the author had a pretty even-handed view of her. If anything, even if we're meant to side with Alicia as a realist, I felt she was a little too uncompromising towards Liz at times because of her dislike of her as a Heroine.

I'm surprised at the notion that the anime injected more romance than there was in the book considering the romance was probably the least popular part of the anime. I'm curious what her overall perspective of Duke and his role in the story is.
