this isn't news. this was announced a long time ago and confirmed on twitter yet again last week https://x.com/madoka_exedraEN/status/1937586538168422780
and honestly, this game is already dying. I'm top 10 in pvp despite only doing dailies and being completely f2p. That alone is strong evidence most people already quit, especially whales.

That might not be as much of an indicator as you think, as you're not being matched with every single other player. It seems like every PvP season has everyone shuffled into a different "set" of sorts, as I'm fighting new players every season. My brother also plays and we rank similarly, yet we never see each other in each other's rankings.

This game lagged like crazy on my phone, the PC should run beautifully. I missed some events because I hit a level wall and it was essentially forcing me to spend money. I'll try it again but will be forever sad I didn't get to see the original KyoMami story!
