I assume they run out of source material? After publishing webnovel chapter 57 in 2022, the author detailed a little in the afterword what will happen in the next chapter, and that he'll take a break for a little while before continuing.. ..well, it's now 2025 and the break's still on..

One would hope an anime adaption would motivate him to make more. I found the anime pretty amusing.
