Resurrecting this to point out that in novels things have changed and both SAO and Accel World are starting to see much more overlapping.
Very spoilery stuff below from both novel series: spoiler[The treasure at the center of the palace in the Accelerated World is called the "Fluctuating Light". Kuroyukihime herself explains that she's the result of a baby being implanted with an artificial soul (fluctlight). Kuroyukihime appears to have been doing all of her mysterious hacking using Star King Kirito's SSS Order. She most likely learned it from her sword master Graphite Edge who is all but confirmed to be the fluctlight converted memories of Kirito's time as the Star King in the Underworld after having his memories erased (but instead turned into an AI). Incidentally, both Kirito and Graphite Edge have the same voice actor in the SAO vs AW game. Pretty sure there was an Alice reference as well.] I think SAO novel 29 will perhaps take things even further after 28's cliffhanger. Emerje |
