Hopefully they'll do Samurai 2XL and Dynasty Gundam 2 at some point.... It's unbelievable that nary a single one of the Gundam titles have filtered on to modern systems all these years.

Honestly I don't really see the point of remastering *any* of the musou games. I've been fan of the series since DW6, way back in the day, and as much time as I've spent on these games... they're not that good, and tend to pretty rapidly show their age. Even just going back to the DW8/7 era feels hard because those games are so much slower and clunkier than modern musou titles, and that's even more the case the further back you go. I can't imagine DW3 being all that compelling in the gameplay department, certainly not in the stage design, and least of all with the storytelling.
I do agree that I'd like to see the Gundam Musou games remastered, if only because they're (generally) pretty fun and virtually unplayable today (outside of emulation). Though I'd much rather see a new entry.

If you compare them sequentially, they don't change much, but the change add up to quite a lot over time. As someone who had the inverse interaction with the franchise as you did (more or less started with 2, dropped at 7) I'm quite happy to see 3 being remaster since its imo the one.
But yes, I would agree that they're not particularly good game, but they fill a nice niche (great for playing while watching something or listening to podcast).
