I recently rewatched Windy Tales, a 2000's iyashikei that had similarly unique designs from the same character designer, Masatsugu Arakawa.
Marketable or not, I loved them when I first saw them & I love them still. It's taken over 20 years for Arakawa to get another shot of bringing his own designs to life, so regardless of the actual quality of the film, I'm going to support it as a way of wanting the man to get more work. |
