Okay this was way earlier then i expected.
will this only be volume 19 and 20 since 21 is the begining of the final arc?

Firstly, hell yeah! Secondly, I didn't know they had enough volumes for it.

Vol 21 cover is shown in the PV so it will be in the season

Fair point i am with Danmachi anime only. i only know that volume 21 is the start of the final arc that's all. though i was expecting a anime of some of side stuff like a Astrea Records.

Very nice. I guess this means that it could air this Fall or in early 2027.

As happy as I am to see this announcement I only hope they take their time with this to avoid the production issues that plagued season 5

Always glad for more Danmachi but I'm a little worried about how they'll do it. A lot of this arc has info from Sword Oratoria.

am a little worried about the fact that they are just skipping over Sword Oratoria stuff
Especially considering how DM Volume 21 is very connected to SO volume 15 and 16
Really felt like they should have done a SO Season 2 and 3 before season 6 but oh well

I'm anime only, but I know Sword Oratoria crosses into the main series a fair bit and agree that we really should get more SO content animated. The fact we got this announcement so soon after season 5 shows me the series is popular so I don't get why they haven't done more SO content to begin with.

While I’m more than happy with this on the surface (I really fell in love with Danmachi after season 4), I do share a lot of people’s concerns. The most obvious one being from what I understand, season 5 covered up to volume 19, and volume 21 (the most recent volume to come out) JUST started the final arc, I would have thought they’d wait until the series was over to adapt the whole arc, obviously there’s no telling how long that’d be but still.
Also apparently the Sword Oratoria series is actually going to be relevant and if that’s the case yeah now would have been the perfect time to just continue and adapt the rest of that while we’re waiting for the finale.
Tho me stating that is pretty ironic now given I was pretty annoyed when that first season was announced, mainly because season 2 wasn’t a thing yet and at the time second seasons of anime were not as common so I just remember thinking “We barely get second seasons of anime and you guys were able to get 12 more episodes green-lit and it’s just a SPIN-OFF? Not to mention just THE SAME SEASON JUST FROM ANOTHER CHARACTER’S POINT OF VIEW???? WTF, COME ON!!!
Tho obviously that has changed now since they DID do a second season AND a movie to which I went “apology accepted!!!” But also I mean hot take but I feel like season 5 had the best narrative stopping point for the anime so yeah now would actually be the best time to do Sword Oratoria because I personally don’t feel a serious need for another season at this time (especially given there just ISNT any more story of any kind at this point). Still, whenever it comes out I’ll be there to watch. Hope it’s good!

Great news! As others have mentioned though, I feel like we're long overdue for more Sword Oratoria.
Maybe they'll do a split season, like 4, and stick Oratoria in the middle or something, but it's not confirmed so they didn't announce it as well...

I'm always down for more DanMachi! Looks like things are going to get even more intense and epic!

I think it's because their original SO adaption was much maligned for the way they adapted it that it's why they haven't done more.

I like this franchise a lot, always awesome to see it continue. I wonder where the story will go this time.
